It Started With a Delusional Scientist
Mustafa, the founder of Veraila, a full-time scientist, first generation immigrant from Turkey had this delusional idea of creating a chocolate hazelnut spread that tasted like the ones he had as a child in Turkey but made only with natural ingredients.
Every option on the market was either filled with junk or tasted like a compromise.
He had zero experience in food business and a crazy thinking that this was at all possible!
After 3 months and over 20 failed batches, he finally created something that made people speechless.
He took it to the local Farmer's Market and people who taste a sample were reaching for their wallets without even asking the price!
He named it after his two daughters Vera & Ayla and now bringing it nationwide.

What ingredients are in your products?
Veraila Noire: Hazelnuts (55%), organic cane sugar, organic fair-trade dark chocolate, organic vanilla powder

Are your ingredients organic?
Although we are not certified organic, we try to use as many organic ingredients as possible. Currently, all of our ingredients except for hazelnuts are organic. We aim to switch to organic hazelnuts and get USDA organic certification as soon as it is financially feasable.
Are your products vegan?
Yes! Both of our products are vegan.
What is the shelf-life?
An unopened jar is good for 9 months after production. Since we produce in small-batches, you are likely to receive a fresh batch made in the last 1-2 months.
After opening, we recommend finishing it within 2-3 weeks. Based on our customer feedback, finishing a jar in 2-3 weeks is not a problem!
My spread was not as creamy as shown. What's up?
Since we don't use any palm oil or emulsifiers, the texture of the product changes with the temperature. If the product is too cold, the cocoa butter freezes and the spread look dense and gritty.
If the product is too hot, the cocoa butter melts and the spreads get too runny.
The ideal temperature is room temperature. If it gets too hard, place it in a warm water bath for a few minutes, give it a good stir and it will get creamy again.
